Verdict Scan

What can be stated about your store from outside, with evidence.

The Verdict Scan reviews a sample of your eCommerce with no access or passwords and gives you back up to three verifiable signals. It is Verdict's first layer: it doesn't diagnose the business, it helps decide whether your data is worth looking at.

What it checks.

A sample of pages chosen so that it can be repeated (homepage, categories, product pages and content), some of them opened in a mobile browser. Not the whole catalogue.

  • Purchase frictionWhatever gets in the way between the visit and the purchase: the button below the first screen, a price that doesn't appear until the JavaScript loads, product pages shown as unavailable, elements that cover the screen.
  • ContradictionsWhat the website itself says in two different ways: canonicals pointing to another page, duplicate titles, commercial pages left out of the index, broken links.
  • Information needed to buyWhether visitors can find shipping, returns, contact details and the seller's identity.
  • Search engines and assistantsWhether product data can be read and is consistent with what the page shows.

During the analysis nothing is bought, no form is filled in and no private area is entered. The only click is accepting the cookie notice.

Observing, assuming and confirming are not the same thing.

A product page showing as sold out today is an observation. That this is costing you sales is a hypothesis. Confirming it requires your data. The Scan never mixes the three.

  1. ObservedWhat can be seen on your website: reproducible, with its address and its date. It is the only thing the Scan states.
  2. HypothesisWhy it might matter. It is written down as a hypothesis, alongside what would be needed to check it.
  3. ConfirmedOnly with your internal data: sales, analytics, advertising and costs. That is the Radiografía, our in-depth diagnosis, not the Scan.
  4. Not observableWhat can't be known from outside. The document lists it instead of assuming it.

What you get.

A short document. Every signal follows the same structure, designed so you can open the evidence and check it yourself.

Structure of a signal · sample text

Product pages without a price in the initial HTML

What we observe
On several product pages in the sample, the price only appears after JavaScript runs.
Where
The address of one of those pages, so you can open it and see for yourself.
Scope
How many pages in the sample have it. It is not a percentage of your catalogue.
Why it is worth investigating · hypothesis
Systems that don't run JavaScript might not see the price.
What we can't know from outside
Whether it is costing you visits or sales.
What would be needed to check it
Search Console and Merchant Center data.
  • Up to three signalsFrom different areas, never three for the sake of it. If there is only one, you get one. If there are none, we say so: finding nothing doesn't mean your store is fine.
  • The evidence for each oneAddress, date and scope within the sample, so you can check it.
  • What can't be known from outsideWhere people drop off, whether your measurement counts sales correctly or what happens inside the basket.
  • What we are not telling youNot how much it affects you, not what to fix first, not how much money is behind it. Without your data, any priority would be an opinion.

What it doesn't include.

The Scan is limited on purpose: some things can't be seen from outside, and they aren't guessed.

  • A business diagnosis.Sales, margins and costs can't be seen from outside. The Scan can't tell you what is holding you back.
  • An impact figure. No euros, no percentages of your catalogue, no priorities.
  • A full technical audit. It looks at a sample of pages, not the whole site.
  • Access to your systems. It doesn't touch your store platform, your analytics or your advertising accounts.
  • An automatic list.Every signal passes evidence filters and is reviewed by a person before it is sent.

And then.

The Scan ends with a question: whether it is worth opening your internal data.

  1. You receive the documentBy email, at the address you give us.
  2. We review the findingsIf something is worth checking, we go through it with you: what can be confirmed with data, what can't, and whether it makes sense to open your internal data.
  3. You decideContinue with the Radiografía, fix on your own whatever you see clearly, or leave it there.

The findings review is not a sales pitch. If there is nothing to check, we will tell you.
